Turkish Citizenship by Real Estate Investment for 7 Gate Istanbul Investors and Their Families

Seven investors of Gate Istanbul Real Estate and their children have obtained Turkish citizenship by real estate investment. The presidential decision approving their applications was issued on 16 October 2026, and the investors were officially notified on 19 and 20 October 2026 by the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of Population and Citizenship.
The decision covers 7 people: 4 investors and 3 of their minor children. Citizenship was granted on an exceptional basis under Article 12 of the Turkish Citizenship Law No. 5901.
How we supported the investors until Turkish citizenship was granted
The Gate Istanbul Real Estate team supported the investors at every stage of the file:
- Choosing a property that meets the citizenship requirements, and checking its legal status before purchase.
- Completing the purchase and transferring the title deed (tapu) to the investor.
- Preparing the property valuation report and the conformity certificate required for the citizenship file.
- Following the citizenship application with the official authorities until the decision and the official notification.
Turkish citizenship by real estate investment in 2026: key requirements
- The minimum real estate investment remains USD 400,000.
- Since 28 September 2026, valuation reports for citizenship are no longer limited to a single company; valuation firms licensed by the Capital Markets Board (SPK) can issue them, as announced by the General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre (TKGM).
- The conformity certificate (TTB) can now be used for 12 months instead of 6.
